JK: Kalijodo Arrangement Is Compliance with the Rule

If Kalijodo belongs to state, its function must be restored. Thus it can be enjoyed together

Vice President, Jusuf Kalla (JK) supports plan of Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama in arranging Kalijodo area. According to him, the whole land which is a state asset must be restored.

"If Kalijodo belongs to state, its function must be restored. Thus it can be enjoyed together," said JK, after he inaugurated Jakarta DMI caretaker, at City Hall, Thursday (2/18).

Jakarta DMI Must Devote to Benefit the People

As a rule, he added, the plan has been appropriate. Thus buildings in such land standing on green belt should be curbed. Moreover, land itself also serves as absorption and green open space (RTH).

"This is the right of people enjoying the land. The government must act properly to acquire such land," he added.

He continued that there must be a humane solution. One of them is by providing the flats. According to him, a good city is having the orderly government and the people in running rights and obligations of each.

"There must be reciprocal, like flat procurement. Jakarta can be orderly and free of flooding if residents stay in the flat," he finished.
